Project Description:
This tiny-house project is part of an architectural approach focused on formal simplicity, ergonomic performance, and integration into the natural setting of the Wolfestown Estate. The goal was to design compact accommodations offering an immersive experience, while respecting the site’s constraints and its ecological purpose.
The design is based on maximizing the use of space, with each volume tailored to its specific function and use. The floor plan promotes fluid circulation, a clear understanding of the spaces, and a constant visual connection with the outdoors. Generous, strategically oriented openings allow for optimal natural light and offer a direct view of the wolf enclosure, a defining element of the project.
The interior architecture relies on a palette of natural and sustainable materials, such as warm-toned wood and mineral textures, to create a harmonious dialogue between the interior and the surrounding forest. The understated finishes and built-in furniture reinforce the volumetric simplicity and highlight the intrinsic qualities of the space.
Finally, this project is part of an approach to responsible and mindful tourism, in which architecture serves as a tool for enhancing life. The mini-chalet goes beyond its role as mere lodging to offer an immersive architectural experience that respects its surroundings and is rich in meaning.
